Watercolor quilts focus on strokes of color and wavy lines that move the eye to create a mood, feeling or image.  These quilts evoke the style of impressionist painting by using multicolored fabrics to create designs.  The use of value and color suggest the changing quality of light and color.

While these quilts will appear to be made of individual squares they are actually strips of a multitude of fabrics.  The number of different fabrics varies as much as the quilts and each quilt may contain between 30 and 300 different fabrics.  No two are alike.

The gallery that follows is composed of quilts already completed and are not available for sale unless specifically marked as such.  They each however, show a specific design from which to choose and order.  If you would like one of these quilts, then you would pick your design, and specify a predominant color.

Construction of these quilts is done by one person who's goal is to build a work of art.  The fabric is chosen with great care, with your preferences in mind.  Only high quality 100% cotton quilting fabric is used.  Even the backing (I often use Batik or Bali fabrics in coordinating colors), binding and thread for the machine quilting is chosen specifically with the buyers wishes in mind.  Each quilt is assembled utilizing Polyester low loft batting, variegated quilting thread in complimentary colors.  Each quilt takes approximately one month from start to delivery.  Rush orders can be obtained for an extra charge.
